Hand made European teapot. Tea pots have a real artistic, historic and ethnic value all over the world. Teapots have become great gift items. The 1st teapot originated in China in the 16th Century. The Japanese drank assorted teas, including green tea. By the 18th Century the teapots made at Yixing, China, were being produced in forms which had symbolic significations, for example, peach shape for long life and good luck, pomegranate for numerous, healthy youngsters.

Early teapots, when imported to Europe, prompted potters to respond with new variations of tea kettle culture. Great Britain, being more keen on tea drinking than the remainder of Europe, made the tea kettle their own specialty.
