blown European teapot. Teapots have a
real artistic, historical and cultural value throughout
the world. Teapots have become great gift items. The
first teapot was developed in China in the 16th Century.
The Japanese enjoyed various teas, including green tea.
By the 18th Century the teapots manufactured at Yixing, China,
were being produced in forms which had symbolic meanings,
for example, peach shape for extended life and good fortune,
pomegranate for numerous, hardy kids.
Early
teapots, when imported to Europe, prompted
potters to develop new variations of tea kettle culture.
Britain, being more keen on tea drinking than the rest
of Europe, made the teapot their own specialism.
Now,
tea drinking is making a resurgence in the United States.
Some say Americans are changing from "happy hour"
to "tea time." Excessive social drinking is
increasingly frowned upon and, with executives facing
shrinking expense accounts, the "power lunch"
is being substituted by the "power tea." Herbal
teas popularized during the 60s are also earning
acceptance as more folks try to stay away from caffeine.

we enjoy an assortment of healthy teas.
Many specialized "healthy" teas are now available.
Many of these are decaffeinated and organic versions
of the respective tea types. A choice of tea varieties
is perfect for afternoon tea or a simple tea party.
Studies
with green tea in animals has shown it can reduce arthritis.
Green tea, already lauded for its cancer fighting ability,
may also protect against certain autoimmune diseases,
new research indicates. Green teas subdue the expression
of antigens made by the body, substances that can activate
an immune response. EGCG, a substance found in green
tea is known to suppress inflammation.

"This is a third generation recipe and one that is about as simple as it gets. French-style green beans are topped with Chicken breasts, a creamy soup mixture, and a sprinkling of parmesan cheese and baked until bubbly. Best served over mashed potatoes or rice."
